Corruption |
The example to the right is a particular case of a strong demonic presence corrupting the original fae. As these types of events are far and few between, it is hard to gauge the full effect and to what extent the Esprit will be altered. One can also assume that as several species of demon or mal-alligned spirits exist that become parasitic, the outcome will vary on what takes residence. Perhaps a more angelic being could cause a body alteration of wings, or an aquatic specimen would encourage the growth of gills. While not a true subspecies, it is important to note the differences between these Esprits and their more ‘pure’ counterparts, as their physical and mental attributes are unique to each individual. Mutations that have been seen in some Esprits range from an excess amount of eyes, multiple mouths, skeletal body parts, wings, and plant or life growths. However, there are many more mutations still out there to discover. |
This subspecies was created by GraveHaunter and is currently only available during specific events and slot offerings.
Subclass: L Rank: S Date: 3/3/19 The Exiled are liches. They are a subclass of Esprits that have unique and terrifying mutations from their hosts spirit. Bodies permanently altered due to the strong necromantic energies that come from within, these Esprits are a rarer type within an already rare breed. A trait that ties all of these particular creatures together are their spectral magics taken form. Projected in unique ways to each individual, the presence of ghost-like appendages, wisp fur, or eyes seem to be a common theme, however lack of evidence due to small control groups and limited sightings cannot support this claim. Their attitudes vary greatly depending on what has possessed them, and it is advised to take EXTREME caution around any Exiled you may encounter. Due to their erratic nature and high levels of power, the Unseelie aligned Exiled are anticipated to be the most dangerous. I am currently tracking down a recently sighted corrupted host, it's main home seeming to be the very forest I found a bugbear in last month. As more research is completed I will expand upon my findings. -Field researcher Gwenith |
